I will assess the body as a whole and help you work through the restrictions you’re holding onto, using gentle manual techniques to improve the flow and rhythm of fluid in and around the central nervous system which will release tension deep in the body allowing the entire body to relax and self correct. Sometimes dialogue is utilized.

CST involves facilitating the body’s own natural capacity when trauma(both physical/emotional) or dis-ease processes become overwhelming for the system. There are a lot of components to craniosacral therapy but the basis is the semi hydraulic pressure system of cerebrospinal fluid. The flow of cerebrospinal fluid is the craniosacral rhythm. When the craniosacral system can’t function as it should, dysfunction occurs. This can be a number of things such as pain or a high alert nervous system. When the nervous system is on high alert, the body lacks safety and when the body doesn’t feel safe, healing can’t occur. Craniosacral therapy is exceptional at re-regulating the nervous system. I am passionate about the body-mind connection and trusting that no one system ever functions alone. I feel that’s where we often get lost. The quieter we become as we shift into stillness, the more we are able to hear.

I infuse my expertise from my background in dental hygiene with craniosacral therapy. I see things uniquely and I am passionate about head, neck and jaw issues like TMJD, migraines and headaches while keeping a versatile approach to the enormous scope of discomfort and imbalance that CranioSacral Therapy can address.

Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are trained as primary care providers who combine traditional and modern medical knowledge with natural therapies and lifestyle changes to address the root causes of illness and optimize wellness.

Naturopathic doctors use a wide range of therapies, including clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, physical medicine, lifestyle counseling, and mind-body approaches, to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. These therapies are aimed at supporting the body's self-healing mechanisms, strengthening the immune system, balancing hormones, improving digestion, reducing inflammation, managing stress, and optimizing overall wellness.

One of the hallmarks of naturopathic medicine is the emphasis on prevention and education. Naturopathic doctors work closely with their patients to identify risk factors and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices, such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and environmental factors, to help prevent illness and promote optimal health.

Naturopathic medicine is suitable for people of all ages and can be used as a primary or complementary form of healthcare. It is often sought out by individuals seeking a holistic and patient-centered approach to health, those with chronic health conditions who are looking for alternative options, and those who want to actively participate in their own healthcare journey.

SBW is a journey inward. It’s an experience that allows you to express and release the pent up emotions, stressors and weight that exists in everyday life. Soma, means body and in somatic breathwork we use the breath to go deep into our bodies, to go deep into our nervous system to release those unconscious barriers and undigested emotions.
If you think of your body like a balloon, overtime that balloon starts to become pressurized with air and our bodies are no different. Our bodies start to become pressurized with all these daily life pressures, stressors, etc and at some point what happens when that balloon becomes too full it bursts, same thing happens with our bodies. What that looks like is hitting our breaking point, having a nervous breakdown, our bodies simply cannot handle anymore pressure coming in and we have to X that pressure. What SBW allows us to do is quite literally release air from that balloon and X the pressure so we can show up more mindfully, consciously and peacefully.

Hi, I’m Krystal Appleby. My journey started after years of University resisting my calling & forcing myself to stick in the logics & science world, then pendulum swinging into a dynamic & fun chapter with even more years in the waitressing industry I finally found my footing in Acupuncture & Traditional Medicine (TCM) Schooling in 2014 at Alberta College of Acupuncture & TCM where I completed my diplomas in both Acupuncture & TCM. I went on to spend 2 months interning in Hangzhou, China before moving back to Fort McMurray in 2017. After a few years of taking courses in everything from Sports Medicine, Cosmetic Acupuncture, energetics, hypnotherapy, life coaching + many more I started to settle down into my practice and connect to the foundation of the medicine… the energy, the cycles & seasons, the beauty & healing that happens when we slow down & listen to the body, when we slow down & stop using force or urgency to try and push results, to try and make life or healing happen on our terms.

The practitioner stepped deeper into letting life allow her to be the student, and since then I’ve ventured into business & supported many women find their passion, leave stagnant careers for soul careers as practitioners within my collective in Fort McMurray or move on to beautiful new cities, adventures & relationships… this is my natural passion & stage I meet people in. I started to notice people came for pain management & stayed for the inspiration or catalyst & ignited hope that their desires & dreams and standards they wanted for their life were possible … and then they went out and got them, and that’s the whole point to this little thing called life!

So, this is a new chapter after a whirlwind few years of hustling through life, of becoming an entrepreneur, mentor, finally falling in love with my own life & travelling the globe. I’m excited to settle into the peace & surrender the mountains provide while still staying connected to my most rich connections with my Northern community every month. Having spent much time with family & my dogs in CNP over the last 15 years this next shift feels like a fun new adventure offering a different style of life, a different style of treating and offering my modalities to a new, but familiar community.

I look forward to meeting you in this chapter of your journey!

Hey! This loud mouth specimen is known as Zeta. She has been in Fort McMurray now for 18 years and doing massage for the past 6. Of the 18 years here, Zeta spent 12 working on site and has even operated equipment. So, when she says she understands how beat up you feel after a 12 hour day bouncing around the haul roads, she isn’t kidding. Currently, she’s working 5 days a week in an office so she also understands the neck and shoulder strain is very real. That pinch in your neck or shoulder blade doesn’t have to be the norm. She wants to help you get rid of it. Nowadays, she’s a busy single mama of 3 navigating that new world while trying to also build a parent coaching business. Phew, it makes us tired just reading it.

Her favorite thing to treat? Your pain. She wants to get to the deeper reasons for the pain and help to educate you to eliminate it. She utilizes the body’s natural movements to truly get to the root cause of pain and dysfunction, working to restore your mobility and general soft tissue health. Her goal? To never see you again…for the pain thatis. She wants you to come back for her winning personality!! Yes, we laughed and shook our heads too. Her most treated area/pain point? Shoulders and low back. Zeta is also certified in cupping and Rapid NFR; these particular credentials are a big part of her deep tissue and therapeutic treatments. I mentioned she uses the body’s natural movement? Yeah, she’ll move you around even with the cups stuck on for full benefit during your massage.

Zeta believes we have the innate ability to heal our body and mind. She is fascinated by the mind/body connection. The work of Gabor Mate and many other brilliant minds who focus on trauma and nervous system science, lights her up.

Mallory is a CranioSacral and Somatic Breathwork Practitioner.

Looking for a change and feeling a strong pull to shift direction from her traditional healthcare career is when CST presented itself. It was actually on Krystal’s treatment table just before Solluna was born where this knowing began. A deep knowing is what it was from the moment she learned the words CranioSacral and it never left her side. She watched as it continued to present itself in her life and it couldn’t be ignored.

A couple years later Somatic Breathwork presented itself in the same way. Knowing she needed to facilitate crucial nervous system work on a greater scale, this would be the modality to allow for the work to continue in person 1:1, in group settings and online.

Mallory’s main focus in her professional and personal life is preventative health and optimal wellness. She is passionate about the body-mind connection and trusting that no one system ever functions alone. She feels that’s where we often get lost. The quieter we become as we shift into stillness or as we use our breath to clear and repattern, the more we are able to hear.
